Feeding Lewis
We were able to go on a behind the scene tour of the zoo. A tour guide showed us the reptile house (where the animals are kept when it gets too cold in Pittsburgh) + we were able to go in the cage with the Kamodo dragon. Scary!! The coolest part was feeding Lewis the friendly giraffe:) Thank you Rippers for inviting us!

Random Updates
It has been such a LONG time since I have updated!! So much has happened over the past couple of months. So here are some pictures taken awhile back. I'm extremely pleased that I got a new camera....but I have not tried to connect it to the computer yet...so you're stuck with some older pictures:)
We went as a family to McConnells Mills (I think in April). I remember having a fantastic time with the family. Audi was a trooper and loved climbing all over the rocks. A trip back won't come soon enough!
We went to Phipps conservatory with the girls +Grammie and Papa (I can't even remember when anymore!) I have to say that both of the girls were awesome during the outing. I remember being somewhat surprised at how they both were into looking around at all of the plants at the time, and what an enjoyable day it ended being (for some reason I thought that maybe it would hard to take them there). So now I'm a huge fan of Phipps...for any age!
So my goal over the next couple of weeks is to make sure that I update this blog! There's still a bunch of summer trips that need to be added (drumroll please...the Dowiak beach trip for starters + Izzy is already a year old!) So hang in there, and I'll get my act together!!

Autumn's World: Dress Up, Barbies, and Princesses...Oh my!!
Autumn loves, loves, loves to dress up as a Princess and play with her Barbies. It really is fun watching her imagination run wild. There have been days of multiple dressing changes. Adorable!!
I caught Audi on the steps with all of her barbies lined up...it was very cute. Grammie saved all of my Barbies...so Audi gets to play with them! My Grandma Bernie crocheted most of my Barbie dresses. It's fun to watch Autumn pick out her favorite dresses for the Barbies...

Love it!!!

A much needed update
You know it's time to update your blog when #1)your family starts to comment on the lack of new posts and #2)you start to get tired of the same pictures! Everyone here is doing well...Miles is working, I'm working, Audi is going to school, and Izzy is growing. That's about it in a nutshell. We'll be excited when the weather lets up and we can be outside more...but for now we're keeping warm!!
Audi loves loves loves to dress up. She loves dresses, skirts, bows, crowns, shoes, jewelry...I have no idea where this love for fancy came from, but here's to the hope she'll outgrow it by the time she's a teenager!
The weather today was high of a warm 36...so we were able to be outside for a bit. They're calling for 3-6 inches over the weekend...here comes sledding!! (I have found to enjoy the winter you have to play in the snow:))

Family Update, Izzy 6 months
Here's some more pictures of our growing Izzy Rose!
With a proud Daddy. I can officially say that Izzy's first word is dada...in her baby babble. She calls both Miles and me dada, which is pretty cute. I'll put a plug in for Audi...her first word was mama!!
With my sweetie:)
The "johnny jumpseat" has returned!! Izzy is also enjoying this fabulous baby contraption...
Izzy is a thumb sucking machine, it's adorable. I will also report that her two bottom teeth are in.

Elizabeth Rose Update
My little Izzy is growing so fast!! She's rolling over like crazy...I have a feeling the fun is going to start soon. I have neglected to put up pictures of my little babers...so here's a few taken over the past couple of months...
f
This is her first time in the highchair. It's a little early for food, but she's getting a taste. She's really started to watch people eat, which is how it all starts!

I just realized that I didn't really post any pictures of her smiling...which she does often! Izzy is quite a happy baby, and only really fusses when something is bothering her (hungry, tired, wet...) We are so lucky to have such wonderful girls!

Papa's funny faces
I was flipping through the pictures on the camera, and just had to smile. We were having dinner this past Saturday when Audi took the camera and kept taking pictures of Papa, who willingly obliged with silly faces (there's actually more on the camera...I just posted a few). Of course, there's one from Audi too...

Thanksgiving 2009
This Thanksgiving Grandma Lori and Poppie were able to come up from Texas to spend some time with us. What great fun we had with them. Uncle Lucas and Krissy were also able to come into Pittsburgh for a few days. It's always nice to catch up with family!!!
There was an indoor traveling zoo at the Convention Center in Pittsburgh. Audi was able to ride a camel with Grandma Lori....and an elephant with Poppie, Dad, and me. The line was less than thrilling, but I had fun. I highly recommend an elephant ride if given the opportunity, it's like being on a hammock...but not really...
We saw the replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships when they were docked in Pittsburgh. My first impression was that they were a lot smaller than you would have imagined. (Maybe we've just gotten a lot larger over the years...) Anyway, it was fun to visit the North Shore on that particular day because the Steelers were having a home game, so we were able to people watch the pregame parties...fun times...
