Below are pictures Aunt Nellie took of the girls. Audi was very proud of her princess dress. I don't know how to format her picture to make it bigger, but try to click on it. We also had a block party Halloween night that included a visit from the fire department (planned). Audi had a great time evidenced by being sound asleep before I was able to close her door that night. Elizabeth is about 3 months old in the picture below...j

Topsail Beach Trip
We recently took a family trip to Topsail, NC to celebrate Chris and Jodie's marriage. We had a great time getting away and enjoying spending time with family and friends. Audi loved the water and making sandcastles, but her favorite part of the beach was the sea turtles!! I enjoyed the daily walks along the shore, but my most favorite part was body surfing with Miles. The weather was a bit chilly and at times rainy. We had two really great beach days that were swimable, and all but one day we were able to get outside. We also made a stop at Derek's on the way there and back to check out his new home and break up the trip, which was lovely. We're already looking forward to next years Williams trip with the family. Miles and Audi on the beach.
The infamous monkey puzzle kept everyone entertained all week. We didn't finish it, so maybe I'll pack it next year!
Audi loved loved loved playing with her cousin Nezzi. It was very sweet to watch the girls really play together for the first time. She still talks about Uncle John, Aunt Amois, and Nezzie.
We spent one afternoon at the aquarium in NC. They had an albino alligator on exhibit, which cannot survive in the wild because of its lack of color (and thus cannot regulate its temperature). I just thought this was a funny picture.
And the Sea Turtles!!! One of the neatest things I've ever seen was sea turtles making their way to the ocean. John and Amois went for a walk and noticed the turtles hatching and "walking" to the ocean. We high tailed it to be able to watch too. We later found out that the sea turtles hatch in round per say, and that if you happen to see them hatch you should call the people at the sea turtle hospital. They keep them in captivity until they're a bit larger to give them a better chance at survival.
